Heritage Services is the corporate name of the professionally accredited Museums Service of the States of Guernsey. The Service collects, conserves and interprets material evidence and its associated information relating to the history of the Bailiwick of Guernsey, for the benefit of islanders, visitors and other interested parties.

From May 2004, the Service became part of the new Culture and Leisure Department which will also administer the Island’s Historic Sites and Historic Wreck.

The Service incorporates Guernsey Museum and Art Gallery in Candie Gardens, Castle Cornet and its museums (the History of Castle Cornet in the Lower Barracks, the 201 Squadron Museum, The Militia Museum and the Maritime Museum); Fort Grey’s Shipwreck Museum and the Museums Service Department in St John Street.
