New Guidance Booklets
Peter Harris, Guernsey’s Data Protection Commissioner, has
issued two new guidance booklets covering areas on which his
advice is frequently sought.
“Dealing with Subject Access Requests” gives a step by step guide to organisations on how to respond to a request from someone to “see their file”.
“Exporting Personal Data” explains the rules governing the transfer of personal information outside the Bailiwick.
Copies of both booklets are available free of charge from the Data Protection Office or may be downloaded from the Data Protection pages on the States of Guernsey website.
